Thorns

The Lord showed me one day a bible suspended in the air.  The word of God floated and illuminated the surrounding darkness. All of a sudden a thick thorn like bush began to grow beneath the bible. One thorn grew and pushed its way through the binding of the bible and out the other side.  Soon other thorns divided from the thorn that broke through the bible's binding.

In spite of the thorns that had gone through the word the bible still stayed in mid air with its pages intact.

• May we endeavor to have our minds be as fertile soil where the word of God can continually take root and develop into life bearing attributes in our lives.
• May the thoughts, conflicts and disappointments we face in our lives never turn our hearts into thorns which try to divide the word of God for our lives.

What is Underneath?

In another vision, the Lord had shown me an individual offering to the Lord a plate of food on a gold platter.  The food was piled high on the plate and looked delicious.  An angelic being took the plate and held it as the Lord looked on the offering.

The Lord tipped the plate sideways and as the food slid off the plate the tarnish state of the plate was revealed. With a cloth the Lord rubbed the plate until it shone brightly and gave it back to the individual to re-offer their offering.

• How we bring ourselves to the Lord is important.  As one of our young preachers expressed we cannot hide from God and He reveals all hidden matters.
• We may feel we are offering to the Lord a sacrifice from our lives that should be acceptable, but let us examine our mind, body and spirit to make sure that our platter, our bodies, are pure in the sight of the Lord.

Willing to be Cleansed?

One Friday Service, the Lord showed me a stream with ragged clothes flowing down it.  Not only were the pieces of clothes torn, and old, the clothes were also soiled.  The stream was crystal clear, with a current strong enough to push the clothes along and in the process to have at least removed some stains. However, the clothes looked as dirty as could be in spite of being in water.

• Change in our lives will occur when we submit our will to God
• Otherwise, we will go on in the midst of God's power and miss the opportunity of redemption given to us, and thus remain unchanged
• May we learn to be submissive at all costs to the direction, word, and spirit of the Lord
